NOW HIRING: PRINT PLANT MANAGER Commercial Printing & Large-Format Graphics Position: Print Plant Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Production / Operations About the Position We are seeking an experienced, hands-onPrint Plant Managerto oversee daily operations in a fast-paced commercial printing environment. This position requires more than management experience. The ideal candidate must havestrong, practical, hands-on knowledge of print production, equipment, workflow, and troubleshooting, along with the ability to lead a production team. The Print Plant Manager will actively work alongside production employees, monitor jobs throughout the manufacturing process, resolve production issues, and ensure work moves efficiently from pre-press through printing, finishing, and shipping. Key Responsibilities Oversee and actively participate in daily print production and plant operations. Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting throughout pre-press, digital printing, large-format printing, press operations, finishing, and shipping. Manage production schedules, job priorities, staffing, and workflow to meet deadlines. Supervise, train, motivate, and develop production employees. Monitor print quality, color accuracy, job specifications, and finished product standards. Work directly with pre-press, customer service, sales, and production teams to resolve problems and prevent delays. Identify bottlenecks, improve processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Troubleshoot equipment and production issues and coordinate maintenance as needed. Monitor labor costs, materials, inventory, equipment utilization, and production expenses. Enforce safety procedures and maintain an organized, efficient production facility. Track production performance, turnaroundtimes, waste, and quality. Lead by example and promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications Proven hands-on experience in a commercial printing or print production facility is required. Previous experience supervising or managing print production employees. Strong working knowledge of print production processes, from pre-press through finishing and shipping. Practical experience with digital printing, large-format graphics, offset printing, or other commercial printing technologies. Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and understand production equipment and workflows relevant to the facility. Experience managing multiple jobs and priorities under tight deadlines. Knowledge of color management, print quality control, production scheduling, and finishing operations. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to step onto the production floor, work alongside employees, and resolve issues firsthand.
