Job Title: Counselor or Social Worker

Job Type: Full-time or part time.
Compensation: $67,000 – $120,000 per year

You didn't get into this field to do intake paperwork for people who already have every resource in the world. You got into it for the kid on the South Side whose family is one bad month away from losing everything. For the couple trying to hold it together under nonstop stress. For the adult with a disability who keeps getting passed over. For the people the system keeps skipping.

Same. That's why we exist.

Transformative Growth Counseling is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Illinois communities since 2016. We work with the folks who fall through the cracks: people who make too much to qualify for Medicaid but not nearly enough to afford health insurance. Here in inner city Chicago, that means children, adults, families, couples, and people with disabilities who need real support and have nowhere else to get it.

What You'll Do

• Meet with clients in person in Chicago. Clients are asking for face-to-face therapy, and that's the heart of this role.
• Work with a diverse caseload of children, adults, families, couples, and people with disabilities.
• See clients virtually when it makes sense.
• Carry a 30% to 50%charity caseload, which means over a third of your work goes directly to low income people who couldn't access therapy any other way.
• Show up as yourself. Our clients can tell when someone's real with them.
